Dear Parents,

We are excited to welcome our new faculty members to St. Peter’s School: Ms. Katherine Ohnesorge, K5 Lead Teacher; Mrs. Kelly Neiser, K5 Teaching Assistant; Mrs. Stacey Estep, 2nd; Ms. Devon Bradely, 4th; Ms. Terri Catalano, Library and Technology Coordinator; and Sra. Nitzia Pinacho, Spanish.

Our New Parent Orientation will take place on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 6:00pm in Neglia Hall. Important to Note: Due to our strict social-distancing guidelines, only 1 parent per family is permitted to attend this orientation event. We kindly request that all visitors wear appropriate face masks, following current CDC guidelines, to ensure the safety of all who attend.

The PTO will be sponsoring a Used Uniform Sale. This sale will take place Tuesday, August 10th from 9:00 am until 5:45 pm. We have a selection of ‘gently used’ uniform offered at a substantially reduced costs. Please take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. This pricing is only offered at our in-house uniform sale. New uniforms may be ordered from Lands’ End via their website www.LandsEnd.com To find St. Peter’s uniforms on the Lands’ End website you may search by our school name or our school number 900047911. The St. Peter’s Dress Code is included in this mailing. All items purchased from Lands’ End are guaranteed and may be returned if you are not satisfied.

Our Back to School Night will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 6:00 pm. Only 1 parent per family is invited to attend this event. This is a parent only event and students should not attend. Parents will listen to an introduction to the new school year by your child’s teacher. Please mark your calendar for this most important information session, details to follow.

A Carline School Supply Drop Off for students in K3 through 2nd Grade will take place on Monday, August 10th from 11am to 1pm. Parents will drive up to the school’s portico and a teacher will take supplies from you. School supplies should be bagged and labeled with the child’s name and grade level.

The first three days of school for the students, August 18th through 20th, school will be dismissed at 11:30am; the After-School Program is not available on these first days of school. The After-School Program will begin on the first full day, Monday, August 23rd.

A blue Emergency Information Card will be enclosed in your back-to-school packet. Complete one form both sides for each registered child and return it to the school office by Monday, August 16th. This form must be on file prior to the start of the school year.

Families new to the school will find their student’s Summer Reading and Supply List enclosed in their back-to-school mailing.

Also enclosed is your family carpool name card. Display this card on the driver’s side dash during afternoon dismissal.

The Diocese of Charleston mandates that all individuals who will be involved with our students complete the Safe Haven Curriculum and have a background screening conducted by the Diocese. It is imperative that all parents, grandparents, and guardians participate in the Safe Haven Curriculum at your earliest convenience. To attend an online Safe Haven training session go to http://charleston.cmgconnect.org. At the end of the session, you will receive a certificate. Print the certificate and submit the certificate to the school office.

Diocesan Background Screening forms are enclosed in this mailing for families new to St. Peter’s. Complete the enclosed forms and return them to the school office by Monday, August 16th.
