BIENVENIDOS to Spanish

Hola! I am delighted to have you in my Spanish class 2020-2021.

Some of you already know me because this will be my third-year teaching Spanish at St. Peter's Catholic School. I was born in Venezuela and moved to the United States of America in the year 2001. I am raised Catholic and had a Catholic Education from preschool all the way to High School.

All students at St. Peter's Catholic School are exposed to the Spanish curriculum. From 3K through 6th grade, their curriculum focuses on the acquisition of broad vocabulary as the students begin to learn basic words, expressions, and basic grammar structures.

At St. Peter's Catholic School we believe that when students learn a second language, they are exposed to the customs and ways of life of other cultures.  In turn, they expand their views and perceptions of the world, as well as their own culture.  Our goal here at St. Peter's Catholic School is to create a comfortable and positive learning environment that encourages and produces life-long learners of Spanish who will develop the skills to use the language to enrich their lives and to respect others made in God’s image.

Students in all grade levels start the class with the Sign of the Cross and Our Guardian Angel prayer in Spanish,we will also learn about religious cultural Catholic traditions all through our school year.

There is so much to learn, and I am overly excited to see you all grow in knowledge.

Sra. Cordoba
